Match Design to Fabric

Not all designs are created equal, with some being digitised to a much higher standard and more thoroughly tested on a variety of fabrics but it is still unreasonable to expect a design to stitch out equally well on every fabric.

You also need to consider the effect that the embroidered area will have on the drape of your garment.

A design with large areas of very dense stitching will probably only appear as the designer intended on a firm medium to heavy woven fabric; on light or stretch fabrics choose a less dense design or perhaps consider appliqué.
